Why it matters now
Most British manufacturers in this position are working from compliance copy written before October 2024 and now wrong on its face. CE marking is accepted in Great Britain with no end date; the 2027 date most people worry about governs where the UKCA mark may be placed.
What the work actually involves
On the line, the questions are throughput and repeatability rather than compliance: how many units an hour, how much of the sequence is unattended, and whether the record produced is one an auditor will accept without argument. Auto-ranging matters here more than peak power — a line running both 115 V and 230 V product should not need two sources or a changeover.
