This is the sector Intepro UK has the longest record in, and the record is public rather than asserted: DE&S holds a current contract with Intepro UK Limited for in-service support of Power Supply Unit Automatic Test Equipment supporting UK Air Defence, awarded on the basis that Intepro is the OEM and design authority for it.

Grid connection and storage
Inverter and storage manufacturers, and the consultancies that type-test for them.G99 and G98 type verification, and the bench that can actually run it.
G99 Issue 2's requirements for Power Generating Modules incorporating Electricity Storage came into force on 1 March 2026. That is not a horizon to plan for — it is the regime a British storage or hybrid product is inside now.
Electric vehicles and charging
Vehicle and charge-point manufacturers, and their test houses.Pack and drive testing, and the technical file a charge point has to stand behind.
Britain regulates smart charge points in its own right, separately from the vehicle, and the obligations sit with whoever places the unit on the market.
Power supply and electronics manufacturing
Manufacturers selling into Great Britain, Northern Ireland and the EU.Production test, and getting the same product lawfully onto three markets.
Most British manufacturers in this position are working from compliance copy written before October 2024 and now wrong on its face. CE marking is accepted in Great Britain with no end date; the 2027 date most people worry about governs where the UKCA mark may be placed.
Power semiconductors
Device makers, research groups and the compound semiconductor cluster.Reliability and qualification work on SiC and IGBT devices.
Britain has a real concentration of compound semiconductor work, and the test problem it creates is not primarily a power problem.
